Ania Cabrerizo, D.M.D
Dr. Ania Cabrerizo graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2003. Afterwards, she completed her residency program in pediatric dentistry at Nova Southeastern University and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in 2005. Dr.Cabrerizo is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and has been practicing her specialty for 18 years. She holds hospital privileges in several prestigious children’s hospitals including, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Holtz Children’s Hospital. Dr.Cabrerizo is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr.Cabrerizo is originally from Cuba and married to Dr. Jose Mellado. Together, they have 3 children and happily reside in Miami. Her bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish allows her to serve the community in South Florida with the upmost commitment to providing exceptional care to children and advancing pediatric dental care.

Jose R. Mellado, D.M.D, M.S, FPFA, FACD, FICD
Jose R. Mellado is a distinguished periodontist with significant contributions to dental health. Earning a D.M.D. from the University of Puerto Rico and furthering his expertise with a Certificate in Periodontics, and an M.S. in Oral Biology from Temple University, Dr. Mellado is well-recognized locally and nationally within the dental community. His commitment to the field is reflected in his longstanding private periodontal practice since 1993, and his academic role as a Clinical Associate Professor at Temple University. Dr. Mellado had held leadership positions in numerous dental societies, including former Chairman of the American Board of Periodontology, former President of the South Florida District Dental Association, and former Director of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. He was inducted at the American College of Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. His active engagement in dental research, education, and multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals showcases his dedication to advancing periodontal care. Furthermore, Dr. Mellado is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, past Chair and current member of the Florida Board of Dentistry, highlighting his influential role in shaping dental standards and practices.

Dr. Dayrys Tejeda, D.M.D
Dr. Dayrys Tejeda graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2006 and completed her residency at Lutheran Medical Center in 2008. Throughout her academic and professional career, Dr. Tejeda has demonstrated exceptional aptitude and commitment. Her academic achievements include being the recipient of various scholarships and being inducted into the Dental Honor Society. Such distinctions are a testament to the high caliber of her work and her dedication to her profession. As a result, patients who seek her services can be confident in the knowledge that they will receive top-tier dentalcare from an expert with over 18 years of experience in the field. Dr. Tejeda is a highly experienced pediatric dentist who has been board-certified since 2009. She is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Tejeda has met the highest standards of professional excellence and is committed to providing the highest level of care to her young patients. She is bilingual in both English and Spanish ,making her perfectly suited to provide exceptional care to children in the South Florida community. She holds hospital privileges at three top pediatric facilities in South Florida: Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, and Holtz Children’s Hospital. At these hospitals, she specializes in treating complex dental cases and providing care for special needs children under general anesthesia. Dr. Dayrys Tejeda has been happily married, together they have raised two wonderful children who have grown up to be a source of pride and happiness for the family. She has a great passion for gardening and loves to spend her leisure time planting and nurturing various types of plants and vegetables.

Dr. Yenisey Montero, DDS
Dr. Yenisey Montero is a devoted general dentist with a strong passion for helping children maintain healthy, confident smiles. Her journey in dentistry began in July 2007 at the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences in Cuba. She later continued her education in the United States, completing the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami from February 2019 to July 2020.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Montero has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to serving her community. She volunteered her time at Larkin Community Hospital in 2019 and participated in the Community Health Fair at Borinquen Medical Center in Miami from 2015 to 2017. Dr. Montero is known for her gentle touch, caring nature, and dedication to creating a positive dental experience for every child she treats. Her goal is always to keep young smiles healthy, happy, and bright.

Dr. Christina Puig
is a dedicated pediatric dentist who earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. She completed her residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, where she gained extensive experience in treating children with diverse dental needs.
Dr. Puig has a strong commitment to serving special populations, having completed an extracurricular course in special needs dentistry. Her passion for outreach is also reflected in her participation in international dental mission trips to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, where she provided care through simple and surgical extractions to combat oral infections in underserved communities.
In recognition of her academic excellence and community service, Dr. Puig was honored with the Hispanic Dental Association Foundation Scholarship in June 2014. She is authorized to practice at both Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where she continues to provide compassionate, high–quality care to her young patients.

Dr. Alejandra Sanchez, D.M.D
Dr. Sanchez is a highly qualified dental care professional who completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Florida International University. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where she gained extensive knowledge and experience in the field of dentistry. With her strong dedication to providing excellent dental care, Dr. Sanchez strives to deliver the highest quality services to her patients. She is committed to practicing honest and compassionate pediatric dentistry and makes sure that her patients are comfortable and well-informed throughout their treatment. In addition to her passion for dentistry, Dr. Sanchez has a keen interest in childhood education and development. She has always enjoyed working with children and takes great pleasure in helping them maintain good oral health. Laura Folgueira, D.M.D.
Dr. Folgueira, DMD, is a compassionate and skilled dental professional with a strong foundation in patient care and advanced dental procedures. She began her dental education at the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara in Cuba, where she studied from September 2011 to July 2016. Driven by a commitment to continuing education and clinical excellence, she furthered her training at the University of Puerto Rico, completing two years of General Practice Residency from July 2022 to July 2024.
Throughout her career, Dr. Folgueira has demonstrated a passion for serving her community. She has been actively involved in outreach programs such as “Give Kids a Smile” and “Sonrisas Especiales,” providing essential dental care and education to underserved populations.

Dr. Juan Garrastazu, D.M.D.
Dr. Juan Garrastazu is a highly trained dental professional with extensive experience in general and oral surgery. His journey in dentistry began in 1989 at Florida International University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He continued his academic path at the University of Florida, further solidifying his foundation in dental care.
Following his education, Dr. Garrastazu completed a General Practice Residency at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont from June 1993 to August 1994. His passion for surgical care led him to pursue an Oral Surgery Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, which he completed between July 1994 and August 1995.
Dr. Garrastazu holds hospital privileges at Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where he continues to provide expert care with a focus on safety, precision, and compassion. With over 15 years of experience in the dental field, Dr. Kyle Pettersen is a dedicated pediatric dentist known for his compassionate care and commitment to children’s oral health. He began his academic journey at the University of Florida, where he studied from July 2002 to June 2006. Driven by a passion for dentistry, he continued his education at the UCLA School of Dentistry, earning his degree between September 2006 and June 2010.
Dr. Pettersen has since built a reputation for creating a comfortable, positive environment for young patients and their families. His approach combines clinical expertise with a gentle, friendly demeanor that helps children feel at ease during their dental visits.

Dr. Lissa Rivera Del Toro
is a highly experienced pediatric dentist who has been dedicated to children’s oral health for over three decades. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in June 1991. Shortly after, she completed a comprehensive residency in pediatric dentistry at Presbyterian Medical Center, Columbia University, from 1991 to 1993.
Throughout her career, Dr. Rivera DelToro has been recognized for her excellence and compassionate care. In 1991, she received the Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped Award in Puerto Rico, and in 2015, she was honored with the Dentist’s Choice Award for her outstanding service and commitment to patient care.

Dr. Penelope Reingowsky
Dr. Penelope Reingowsky, known as Dr. Penny by her patients, believes that orthodontic treatment should be tailor-made for each individual. Because of this, her patients receive the best, most personalized experience available. Born in Lima, Peru, Dr. Penny speaks fluent Spanish and moved to South Florida when she was seven years old. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Florida and earned her DMD from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. She also earned an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate from University of Florida, and then completed her orthodontic training at Nova Southeastern University. Additionally, Dr. Penny is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and is also a specialist in clear aligner therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two gorgeous children.

Dr. Liliam Hernandez
Dr. Liliam Hernandez, DMD, brings over 18 years of experience in the dental field, having worked in a variety of clinical settings both internationally and in the U.S. Her dental career began in Spain in 2006, where she studied at Alfonso X El Sabio University. Driven by a passion for continuous learning and excellence, she later moved to Florida and earned her dental degree from Nova Southeastern. University in 2017, with focused studies in orthodontics.
While at NSU, Dr. Hernandez completed an honors course in orthodontics in May 2015, further deepening her expertise in the specialty. She is also committed to giving back to underserved communities and participated in a dental mission trip to Nicaragua in July 2008, providing essential care to those in need.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Hernandez is happily married and the proud mother of two beautiful daughters. She brings the same warmth and care she shows her family into her work, helping patients of all ages feel comfortable and confident in their smiles.

Dr. George Rubin began his dental journey at Yeshiva University in New York (2011-2015) and earned his dental degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine in 2020. Driven by a passion for creating confident smiles, he completed his orthodontics residency at the Jacksonville School of Orthodontics (2021-2023). Alongside clinical work, Dr. Rubin led experimental research in the Department of Pharmacology in New York, where he focused on microbiome modulation for periodontal disease- work that led to a publication in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology. Dr. Rubin brings both a scientific edge and a warm, patient-focused approach to everything he does.

Dr. Justin Schneider is an accomplished Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive experience in private practice and multiple hospital systems between Illinois, New York, Texas and Florida. He completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital systems. He specializes in a wide range of services, providing exceptional care to his patients, from dental implants to wisdom teeth extractions under IV sedation, bone grafting, sinus lifts and augmentation, along with treating pathology. Dr. Schneider is dedicated to treating all his patients as if they were his own family, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and comfort.

Dr. Juan Lopez is an accomplished oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a distinguished career spanning over three decades. He began his dental education at the Faculty of Dentistry in Bogotá, Colombia, where he specialized in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and completed his residency from August 1989 to March 1993. Seeking to broaden his expertise, Dr. Lopez went on to attend the Advanced Dental Program at the New York University College of Dentistry from September 1997 to July 1999. In 2005, Dr. Lopez earned his certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery – a testament to his clinical excellence and commitment to the highest standards in surgical care. He has also served as the former President of the International College of Dentists, reflecting his leadership and dedication to advancing the global dental profession.
